Army & Sarcasm
Sarcasm is tool invented by brilliant people to never sound stupid, because if you think what they said is stupid and point it out to them, they would simply tell you that they were just being sarcastic, and that you are the stupid one for not getting the sarcasm, and they can now laugh at you. The best thing is you can never prove if there was intended sarcasm or not. How brilliant are these people I tell you.
Ok now about army, I'm going into the army on the 16th of march. Its not so much so of the actual enlistment that bothers me, but rather the whole idea that I am already that old to go into the army. Its like the test you know is coming but you never thought it would actually physically come, then one fine day while talking to your friend very normally, reality just slaps you, and you go wow.
Its part of every man's life to go to the army and stock up on cool army stories to tell your grandchildren. Every one has to whine a little before they go in too.
But I will not whine because I am so looking forward to serving my country, and having 2 short years of my life devoted to learning how to be disciplined and unhygienic.
There is no way forcing a NS man to work for 2 years, for extremely long hours(like 24 hours a day) and extremely low pay(around 400 I heard), is anything remotely similar to slavery nor could it possibly violate any human rights. Besides they provide your meals and are basically paying you to sleep too, how much more can u ask for right.
On a lighter note, at least I do look forward to shaving my head, I've been curious how I would look shaved. Also its not like I'd disappear for 2 years, i still get to go out on week ends, that is, if I don't get into trouble la. Somehow somewhere inside I feel army might just be fun and worth it.
Heres some cheena music that I've stopped listening to long ago, but when I look at it now, it reminds me that there used to be a time when I liked this kinda stuff, and a lot of other stuff too. I still like some of them now, but not the others. I guess its called change.
I still love these thou, I think the lyric's wonderful.
